i guess that my last months illustrate perfectly radiohead’s song: how to disappear completely.
although i always enjoy expressing my feelings here and keeping a track of everything that’s happening to me on this online journal blog, i needed a break. a break to find myself again, to finish things or to start new ones. i love breaks. sometimes those are the real remedies a person should take when nothing seems to work anymore. you take a break, you do stuff, then you start new. it’s easy
well, i will tell you everything i remember from the past months..actually everything that mattered in the last a couple of months.
first of all, i graduated !!!!! MA in Democracy and Governmentttttttt!!! happy happy happy!
secondly, i started a PhD in Law and Political Science at my dearest uni and i am getting ready to apply for another one. who said that you can’t have everything you want? yes i can
so, as you can see, my academic life is shaping in a very nice way, with future conferences and papers, researches and grants. i am really glad and i know i’ll do a great job with my thesis.
the downside of all this is my lack of time to enjoy Madrid and to enjoy being surrounded by nice people. i still have to work on this, but it’s ok or at least, it will be ok
Summer was great, between studying for exams and doing research, i went a couple of days in RO and another couple in Brussels. it was fantastic to be back in the city i love!
and here comes the best part of the year: i’ll spend christmas in Paris!! can’t wait, cause Paris is actually the second fav city after Brussels. pretty contented with my plans so far, also next year, between conferences and hopefully a job, i’m going to Amsterdam in february and New York, possibly in march. this is all i have planned for now, but i’m not stopping here hahaaaaa
enough with the updates for now, i’m going back to work and i’ll be back later with more news

Apparently, I have some free time on my hands.. hmmm..this is weird ) donno why but i’m pretty sure that later i will check my to-do list and i’ll notice i forgot to do smth..but it’s ok.. )

well..last week’s important headlines:

- i have 3 more weeks until the end of the last semester of my master, lots of papers, the final exam (which scares the hell out of me), and some personal projects.. thank god i like to work, but still…:-<

- i’ve got a cold, and it’s horribleeeee… i’m always sleepy and tired and i hate pills. officialy i hate pills

-i miss home and i can’t wait to go home – this will happen soon, on 26-27..we’ll see..

-i miss my friends, but it’s ok…i’ll see them soon muahaha

-i’m in love with Brussels and i just can’t wait to go back there..i hope this will happen right after my madrid experience ends..somewhere in july -august

-in B. it’s been great except the fact that i’ve discovered that those euro-ppl really hate romanians, and they have a super mega negative perspective on Romania. we’re on their black list god dammit..anyway..i will stop here..i don’t want to get angry on Saturday morning

-i felt for the first time that i’m truly romanian..deep down in my soul i felt the need to yell at those stupid ppl that my country is not shitty and that we’re wayyyy smarter..:P

-i don’t like this shitty weather..it’s always raining and it’s pretty cold for this time of year

-i’m trying to resist the temptation to eat betty – my chocolate sheep )

- i’m happy.

- the tenerife trip will be postponed until the end of april..the weather suxxx

-no need to go to Paris right now, i’m postponing the exam too, i’m too busy these days

etc..etc..

all in all, everything’s almost great and i’m pretty content with my life

i didn’t forget about you my dear blog, but my days are just hectic!!

i just came back from brussels, and i’m preparing for paris.. meanwhile, i have essays, Phd stuff and many other things that keep me way too busy..but i promise i’ll be back soon with more details about my life :d

as a preview: everything is just great, i’m happy, working hard, having fun and enjoying life i’ve started a new chapter of my life and this is actually one of the best decisions i have ever made

now i’m back to my work

i wish you all to have a lovely day and to feel like everyday is Valentine’s Day! I sure will do so

i am happy like i’ve never been ever on a Valentine’s day. maybe because in Romania you don’t feel the love vibe and almost everybody hates it and thinks that: oh why do you need a day to declare your love. Then why do you need a day to celebrate new year’s or to celebrate halloween or other holidays.. ?

i think it’s so nice to celebrate love, because love it really is the best feeling in the world, and it makes us happy and complete. Without love, we’d be lost, lonely and unproductive. we won’t be successful and we’d turn into stupid robots.

So let’s open ourselves and declare our feelings, because love is our resistance, as my fav muse likes to say it.

Yesterday i watched Sex and the City, AGAIN!! ) Well, what to do when the internet connection is low and you must stay in bed and take antibiotics? )

Anyway, I found the answer to a question that bothered me for the last weeks. How to deal with disappointments? And i don’t take “eat chocolate”, “watch romances” or “go out and be wild” as valid answers:)). Oh well, it’s easy and you don’t get fat or pregnant:)): don’t expect anything, or for those of you who will call me superficial i will restate it: lower you effin’ expectations!

It’s easy, you don’t expect, you don’t get, you don’t care. and surprisingly it really works.

Now go out and have fun, it’s almost weekend!

this trip has been a mix of ups and downs. i’ve met some of my friends, i’ve been to a great great concert and now i’m a bit disappointed. but it’s ok, i’m sure it won’t last for long. i’m leaving in 12 hours or so and i’m leaving everything behind. it’s sad when you’re so stubborn to believe in people who don’t believe in you. i should have expected this, and yet i didn’t.

it’s just sad. i am sad. ro is simply surprising indeed.
